Chef José Andrés Gives 120 Pizzas to Law Enforcement After Riots
Chef José Andrés is working with his culinary skills to give again.
Soon after a mob of President Donald Trump‘s supporters stormed the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, the World Central Kitchen area founder shipped pizzas to the Countrywide Guard and police officers in Washington D.C.
“Hello everybody…what can I say…right now was a tragic working day for The usa,” he tweeted. “I am listed here in Bethesda, buying up 120 pizzas to deliver to downtown DC to the heroic girls & adult men maintaining our city risk-free tonight. I am conference my @WCKitchen workforce which is also bringing our kitchen truck to assistance…”
Andrés admitted he failed to know what to do. So, he and his workforce just begun cooking. “I know it truly is a whole lot of controversies and almost everything, but we feed people,” he mentioned in a movie shared on social media. “We feed any individual and every person, and we activate when there is want. And nowadays, law enforcement is preserving my gorgeous Washington D.C. risk-free.”
