Dr. Drew is clarifying some mystifying comments he produced about why he’s “hoping for COVID.”
On Dec. 28, he shared on Twitter that he’d experienced a fever for three days and was getting tested for the flu and COVID-19. The internist, whose comprehensive name is Drew Pinsky, confused supporters when he wrote, “Goodtimes. Wishing for Covid because this virus is not exciting. Continue to be very well, wear a mask!”
When a Twitter user questioned the assertion and named him an “a–hole,” Dr. Drew replied, “Hoping for COVID so I achieve immunity and can go back out to acquire care of COVID individuals without the need of jeopardizing acquiring unwell and using up another medical center mattress.”
Immediately after officially tests good, he then posted a 9-moment “Covid update” video on Instagram to solution inquiries and clarify what he really intended.
